The FT-100M-85 from F-tone Networks is a fiber optic video multiplexer that carries 1 channel of forward video, 1 channel of forward data, 1 channel of forward audio and 100M Ethernet over a single-mode fiber, supplied as a transmitter and receiver pair. It operates at 1310/1550 nm with a 12 dB optical power budget and a maximum transmission distance of 20 km on single-mode fiber, with multimode versions available for up to 2 km. The unit ships in a standalone chassis, and an insert-card version is available for a 16-slot, 19-inch 2U or 4U rack-mountable card cage. Video signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 67 dB and audio SNR exceeds 80 dB, with an operating temperature range of -45 to +75 °C.
