100G QSFP28 BiDi 1309/1304nm 30km Module

Overview

The FT-QSFP28-BIDI-30K splits the difference in the BiDi line-up: 30 kilometers of 100 Gb/s reach on a single strand of single-mode fiber. It transmits at 1309 nm and receives at 1304 nm through a simplex LC connector, pairing with the 1304 nm transmit module. Thirty kilometers lands between the 20 km access tier and the 40 km metro tier, covering extended metro rings and suburban backhaul where 20 km optics fall just short. Each channel consumes one fiber instead of two. The hot-pluggable QSFP28 package installs into standard 100G ports. For links needing a bit more margin than 20 km without stepping up to 40 km optics, the 30K is right-sized.
