Overview

The FT-QSFP28-100G-BRK is a 100G QSFP28 fanout active optical cable. Fiber strands with integrated transceivers at each end replace separate modules and patch cords, and the fanout end splits one 100G QSFP28 port into multiple lower-rate ports. The active optical construction keeps the assembly thin and flexible for dense rack routing while reaching beyond passive copper limits. It follows standard QSFP28 electrical interfaces and suits data center and high-performance computing fabrics that need clean breakout cabling. Because the transceivers are built into the cable ends, installation is a single plug-in step with no separate module inventory to manage.
