100G QSFP28 BiDi 1309/1304nm 40km Module

Overview

The FT-QSFP28-BIDI-40K is the reverse-side partner of the 40-kilometer BiDi family: it transmits at 1309 nm and receives at 1304 nm, completing the single-fiber link with a 1304-transmit module. Each 100 Gb/s channel occupies one strand of single-mode fiber through a simplex LC connector, freeing the second strand for another service or future capacity. Deployed in complementary pairs, the two variants let operators provision 40 km of 100G transport using half the fiber of conventional duplex optics. The QSFP28 hot-pluggable form factor installs directly into standard 100G ports. This 40K variant closes the loop on metro and regional links where the head-end already runs the 1304 nm transmit side.
