100G QSFP28 BiDi 1310/1273nm 80km Module

Overview

Anchoring the far end of the 80-kilometer BiDi pair, the FT-QSFP28-BIDI-80K transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1273 nm through one LC connector. It mates with the 1273 nm transmit module on the same fiber strand, so the complete 100 Gb/s path uses one fiber instead of two across 80 km. Long-haul BiDi matters most where fiber is scarce: rural backhaul, leased dark fiber and congested ducts all charge by strand count. The module rides in a standard QSFP28 hot-pluggable package, carrying the aggregate 100 Gb/s rate. With its complementary partner, the 80K gives network planners an 80 km single-fiber 100G option that doubles services per fiber pair.
