100G QSFP28 BiDi 1331/1271nm 10km Module

Overview

The FT-QSFP28-BIDI-10KR brings single-fiber BiDi down to 10-kilometer links, where duplex fiber was traditionally taken for granted. Transmitting at 1331 nm and receiving at 1271 nm through one simplex LC connector, it pairs with the reverse-wavelength module to move 100 Gb/s over a single strand of single-mode fiber. At 10 km, the use case is campus backbones, metro edge aggregation and short inter-office routes where every avoided fiber pair translates directly into lower lease and construction costs. The standard QSFP28 hot-pluggable package drops into ordinary 100G ports. For planners standardizing on single-fiber plant, the 10KR extends that discipline to short metro spans with no reach penalty.
