The FT-QSFP28-100G-BIDI-1271-2 stretches single-fiber 100G BiDi transmission to 20 km. The 1271 and 1331 nm wavelength pair carries bidirectional traffic over one strand of single-mode fiber, doubling the reach of the 10 km BiDi option for longer metro and campus spans. Like its shorter-reach sibling, it comes in TX1271/RX1331 and TX1331/RX1271 variants that pair across the link, each with digital diagnostics monitoring. An extended operating range of −20 to 85 °C fits street cabinets and uncontrolled environments where temperature swings are the norm rather than the exception.
