Overview
The FT-QSFP28-100G-7 is a 100G active optical cable built on QSFP28 connectors with multimode fiber between the ends. The straight configuration runs QSFP28 to QSFP28 over OM3 fiber at 1, 10 and 100 m, and over OM4 fiber at 150 m. A fanout version breaks one QSFP28 end into four SFP28 ends over OM3 at 1, 10 and 30 m. With active transceivers integrated at each end, the cable reaches far beyond passive copper limits while staying thinner and more flexible. Each lane runs 25.78125 to 28.05 Gbps, and the case temperature is rated 0 to 70 °C.
