100G QSFP28 BiDi 850nm 100m SRBD Module

Overview

The FT-QSFP28-SRBD is a multimode BiDi module that doubles the value of existing multimode plant, carrying 100 Gb/s up to 100 meters over OM4 on a bidirectional 850 nm pair through one LC connection. Instead of a duplex pair, each link uses one strand, so operators double link count on the same cabling or keep a spare strand for redundancy. This is the short-reach complement to the long-haul single-mode BiDi family: inside data centers where OM4 is already pulled to every rack, the SRBD multiplies capacity without new cable runs. The QSFP28 hot-pluggable housing fits standard 100G ports, and 850 nm multimode operation keeps per-link costs aligned with ordinary short-reach optics.
