The FT-SFPPLUS-1000M-3 is a gigabit Ethernet fiber media converter that links copper and fiber network segments. It provides one SFP fiber slot and one 10/100/1000M RJ45 port, allowing a twisted-pair drop to join a fiber backbone without replacing existing switches. The SFP slot keeps the fiber side flexible: installers choose the module that matches their fiber plant and distance budget. The converter auto-negotiates 10/100/1000 Mbps on the copper side, extending Ethernet reach well beyond the limits of copper cabling. It is suited to edge deployment where a single copper port must cross a fiber span, such as building interconnections and access-layer uplinks.
