1550nm 60km PoE Dual-Fiber Gigabit Media Converter

Overview

The FT-1000M-1550-16 converts 10/100/1000 Mbps copper Ethernet into dual-fiber 1550 nm single-mode fiber signals that span up to 60 km, while PoE on the copper port powers the device at the far end of the cable. This combination covers the common case of a powered edge device — a camera, an access point, a sensor gateway — installed far from any mains supply, with fiber carrying the long middle stretch. The 1550 nm optics operate in the low-loss window for reliable full-duplex Gigabit performance, and the converter passes standard Ethernet frames transparently in both directions. It fits regional surveillance grids, transport corridors and multi-site enterprise networks.
