The FT-XFP-40KM is a 10.3 Gbps DWDM optical transceiver in the XFP form factor for single-mode fiber links up to 40 km. It is designed for dense wavelength division multiplexing networks, where multiple 10 Gbps channels share one fiber pair on separate DWDM wavelengths, and terminates with a dual LC connector. Built-in DDMI (digital diagnostic monitoring interface) gives operators real-time visibility into temperature, voltage, bias current and optical power, which simplifies link commissioning and fault isolation. The 40 km reach suits metro aggregation and regional transport links that need DWDM capacity without regeneration.
