The FT-40KM-11 is a 10.3 Gbps DWDM transceiver in the XENPAK form factor, built for single-mode fiber links up to 40 km. It uses a dual SC connector and plugs into XENPAK cages on routers, switches and transport platforms, a widely deployed interface in carrier networks. Designed for dense wavelength division multiplexing, it carries one 10G channel on a DWDM wavelength so multiple services can share a single fiber pair. On-board DDMI provides digital diagnostics of operating conditions, giving network operators a straightforward way to monitor performance and diagnose link problems across metro and long-haul spans.
