Overview

The FT-SFP-BIDI-19 is a 1.25 Gbps single-fiber BiDi SFP transceiver with a 36 dB power budget for very long single-strand Gigabit links. CWDM WDM filtering on a single LC/SC simplex port puts transmit and receive on one single-mode fiber, and the deep budget absorbs connectors, splices and span aging with margin to spare. Operators get full-duplex Gigabit service while lighting only half the fiber.

Deployment follows the BiDi rule of complementary pairs: each end transmits on the wavelength its partner receives. The hot-pluggable SFP package inserts into standard cages on switches, routers and SDH/SONET equipment, delivering single-fiber Gigabit reach to legacy platforms.
