Overview

The FT-SFP-80KM-4 is a 1.25 Gbps CWDM optical transceiver in the hot-pluggable SFP package, engineered for long-haul multi-channel links up to 80 km. It presents a duplex LC interface on single-mode fiber and carries a 24 dB power budget, providing generous margin for connectors, splices and span aging on long routes. The standard SFP package fits any SFP cage, so the module drops directly into switches, routers and SDH/SONET platforms.

With 24 dB of budget, the module comfortably closes 80 km single-mode spans while leaving headroom for passive CWDM multiplexers. Operators can combine many Gigabit channels onto one fiber pair, stretching limited fiber plant across metro and regional backhaul.
