1.25G GBIC 1310/1550nm BiDi 10km WDM Transceiver

Overview

The FT-BIDI-1310-2 is a 1.25 Gbps GBIC transceiver that uses WDM technology to send and receive over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm, forming one side of a wavelength-matched pair; the remote GBIC must carry the mirrored assignment (TX 1550 nm / RX 1310 nm). Rated for 10 km, the module fits short access and aggregation spans where only one fiber strand is available. The hot-swappable GBIC footprint installs into existing cages without powering down host equipment, and single-strand operation frees spare fiber for growth.
