The FT-QSFPPLUS-0-5M is a 40G QSFP+ to QSFP+ passive direct attach copper cable for very short distance interconnects within racks and across adjacent racks. It establishes a 40-gigabit link between QSFP ports at a fraction of the cost of optical modules with separate patch cords. The cable uses 30AWG passive twinax with a 0.5-meter reach and operates over a commercial temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. It is compatible with the Juniper EX-QSFP-40GE-DAC-50CM direct-attach cable, making it a drop-in option for Juniper switch environments.
