Overview
The FT-1030-24 is a PM high power optical isolator centered at 1030 nm, available in 10 W and 20 W versions for polarization-maintaining laser chains. It is intended for ultra-fast fiber lasers, where the polarization state of picosecond and femtosecond pulses must survive every component. Forward transmission stays low-loss while reverse light is strongly attenuated, so seed oscillators and amplifiers see no destabilizing feedback. The PM construction pairs with PM fiber pigtails to hold extinction ratio through the isolator. Testing instruments, fiber sensors and fiber laser systems that depend on stable linear polarization are the primary applications.
