1-Channel Simplex DWDM OADM with East-and-West Traffic, 1RU Rack Mount

The FT-3942 is a single-channel DWDM optical add/drop multiplexer serving both east and west directions, housed in a 1U 19-inch rack-mount chassis. It carries separate simplex common ports for the west and east trunk paths, with dedicated add/drop interfaces for each direction, so a ring node can insert and extract one 100 GHz (0.8 nm) DWDM channel on either side of the fiber route. The fully passive design draws no power and supports metro reaches of up to 80 km. Protocol and rate transparency to 10 Gbps preserves compatibility with installed transponders. Optional monitor, express and 1310 nm passband ports are available, with 200 GHz grid spacing on request.
