When the ribbon trunk sits five metres from the LC/UPC cassette face, this 0.9 mm PVC pigtail bridges the gap. Twelve single-mode strands hold 0.3 dB insertion and 50 dB return on both 1310 and 1550 nm between -40 and 75 C.
