Overview

The FT-1105 from F-tone Networks is an E1 multiplexing device that takes one E1 access port and breaks it out into 1 to 16 telephone outputs, four serial ports (RS232/422/485 selectable) and four Ethernet ports. A common use case is on a rented E1 line: the operator can open several phone channels on the existing line so headquarters and branch offices call each other at no toll cost. The electrical section is built on an all-digital circuit design, giving stable, reliable operation with low power consumption in a small footprint that is easy to install and maintain.
