4-Channel Voice + 1FE + 2x RS232 E1 Multiplexer

Overview

The FT-1103 is an E1 multiplexer that provides 1 to 4 voice channels, 1 Fast Ethernet channel with 2M bandwidth, and 2 channels of RS232/422/485 serial or digital input (alternatively 4 channels of RS232/422/485) over a single E1 line. It ships as a desktop unit, with a 4U rack-card version also available. The electrical section uses an all-digital circuit, keeping the unit reliable, low-power, compact and easy to install and maintain.

Many telecom operator customers lease E1 lines for data connectivity. With this device, several voice channels can be opened on the same leased E1, so headquarters and branch offices can call each other without extra line charges.
