Overview

The FT-785 is a mini gigabit Ethernet media converter that bridges 10/100/1000BASE-T copper networks with dual-fiber 850 nm optical links. It operates at 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps and supports transmission distances up to 550 meters over fiber. Power comes from an external supply accepting DC 5 to 12 V, with maximum consumption of 3 W. The converter is housed in a compact black iron case measuring 60 x 20 x 90 mm and weighing approximately 150 g, and it operates from 0 to 40 °C with free air convection cooling.
