Overview
The FT-100KM-3 is a series of passive dispersion compensation modules for long-haul DWDM and 100G coherent line systems. Fourteen variants, FT-DCM-10 through FT-DCM-140, compensate accumulated chromatic dispersion over spans of 10 to 140 km, with full C-band coverage at the top of the range. Each variant is specified with its own dispersion value — for example, -1700±3% ps/nm for the 100 km model — plus insertion loss, PMD and PDL budgets. The series offers LC, SC and FC connector options in UPC or APC polish within a 19-inch rack-mount housing. Being fully passive, the modules need no power supply for the optical path.
