1-Core 960/1000 µm PMMA Plastic Optical Fiber, 4.0 mm PE/PVC Jacket

The FT-C1000-1-4-0V from F-tone Networks is a single-core step-index PMMA plastic optical fiber with a 960 µm core and 1000 µm cladding, finished in a 4.0 mm dual PE/PVC jacket. Operating at 650 nm in the visible range, it simplifies installation because technicians can align links and check continuity by eye. The fiber is immune to EMI, lightweight, flexible and resistant to vibration, and it can be cut to the required length on site with ordinary tools, without special equipment or fusion splicing. Rated for -45 to +75 °C, the dual-jacket construction suits indoor and protected outdoor runs in home and office networks, automotive wiring, industrial control and monitoring, and other short-reach applications where durable, low-cost optical links are wanted.
