1-Core 960/1000 µm PMMA Plastic Optical Fiber, 2.2 mm PE Jacket

The FT-C1000-1 from F-tone Networks is a single-core step-index plastic optical fiber built on PMMA, with a 960 µm core and a 1000 µm cladding inside a 2.2 mm single PE jacket. It transmits light in the 650 nm visible range, which makes link alignment simple and lets technicians check continuity by eye. The fiber is immune to electromagnetic interference, lightweight and flexible, and it can be cut to length on site with ordinary tools, with no special polishing or splicing gear required. Rated for -45 to +75 °C and a minimum bend radius of 25 mm, it suits short-reach indoor wiring such as home and office networks, automotive control systems, and industrial monitoring where cost-effective optical transmission is wanted.
