Overview

The FT-100G-SR-OM3 is a fiber loopback device built for 100GBASE SR-10 MTP/MPO ports, intended purely for testing and diagnostics rather than live traffic. Its 24-core OM3 female assembly folds every transmit fiber back onto the corresponding receive fiber, so a port can run a self-contained loop test. Engineers use loopbacks like this during bring-up, troubleshooting and production screening to confirm a transceiver transmits and receives cleanly, and to rule out cabling issues. The passive unit draws no power and connects directly to compatible 24-fiber MPO/MTP optical interfaces.
