10dB Raman Fiber Amplifier, 1530-1562nm

Raman amplification uses the transmission fiber itself as the gain medium, pumping it so signals gain power as they travel. This 10 dB Raman amplifier works over 1530 to 1562 nm and supports 1 to 4 wavelengths with 2 pumps per wavelength. Listed figures include polarization dependent loss of 0.2 dB, polarization mode dispersion of 0.5 ps, -40 dBm output pump leakage and 55 dB return loss on both input and output, with gain flatness of 1 dB on G.652 fiber at 13 dB gain.
