1-Channel Digital Video Optical Converter

The FT-4187 from F-tone Networks is a 1-channel digital video optical converter supplied as a transmitter and receiver pair for point-to-point fiber links. It converts baseband video signals into a single-mode optical signal and carries video, audio, data, Ethernet, phone, switch and alarm channels over one fiber. The pair extends the video signal up to 80 km and operates directly with NTSC, PAL and SECAM camera systems. Both standalone and rackmount installations are supported, fitting fixed-camera deployments such as traffic monitoring, perimeter security and highway surveillance where long unrepeated spans are required.
