1-8 Channel E1 Automatic Switchover Protection Unit

The FT-1162 is an E1 switchover protection unit providing 1 to 8 independent E1 protection channels (8+16 E1) for PDH transmission networks. Built on F-tone Networks' dedicated large-scale integration circuitry for E1 switching, the unit continuously monitors the active E1 line and performs hitless automatic switchover to the standby line when a fault occurs.

Once the primary line is repaired, the unit switches back automatically without service interruption. It works fully automatically and requires no manual monitoring or operation, keeping critical E1 links protected around the clock.
