Overview

The FT-100G-2 is a 100G active optical cable that connects two QSFP28 ports over fiber, reaching up to 100 meters. Active cables integrate VCSEL and PIN optics into the connectors, so they run longer than copper DAC assemblies while drawing power from the host port. The cable supports 100G throughput with multi-rate compatibility for mixed-speed environments. Lengths range from 0.5 to 100 m, covering both in-rack and cross-row runs.
