FT-1G-500M-850 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter Card

The FT-1G-500M-850 is a gigabit media converter card that bridges a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 copper port to a 1000Base-X SC fiber port. Operating at 850 nm over dual multimode fiber, it extends Gigabit Ethernet up to 500 meters, suiting short-reach links between switches and distant endpoints. The card consumes less than 3 W, accepts a built-in DC 5-12 V supply, and measures only 112.8 x 77.2 x 23 mm, fitting managed converter chassis or standalone installations. Compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3z, it provides a simple, cost-effective path to migrate copper segments to fiber without replacing existing switches.
