Product details

Overview

The FT-1064-82 is the rotation stage inside the isolator: a fiber-pigtailed Faraday rotator that turns the 1064 nm polarization plane through its specified angle using the magneto-optic effect of the TGG element. Paired with polarizers, it becomes the non-reciprocal core that lets an isolator pass forward light while blocking reflections, or that gives a circulator its port-to-port directionality. Rotation angle, angular tolerance, polarization dependent loss and mode dispersion all feed directly into the finished device's isolation and loss budget, so the in-line package is specified for tight tolerance and thermal stability. Typical uses span OEM isolator and circulator assembly, fiber lasers, sensor heads and coherent detection front ends.
